Touret & Plaques

There are various components of any Birkin, in this case of the Himalaya 25cm, we see a great shots of two, all in palladium plated hardware, the “touret” and the “plaques”.

The touret is a stem with a vertical eyelet reaching confidently 1” out from the Birkin, serving two primary functions:

  1. Holding the crocodile sanguines (straps) together to close the bag, each sanguines having the plaques. These plaques are 1.75” wide, and the one which stand affront bears the iconic HERMÈS-PARIS logo, are sure hallmark of an authentic Birkin.
  2. Hosting the iconic lock when securing the Himalaya Birkin
